Architect in Residence
In the early 60's, Tony Baionno was a young architect working with Richard Chorlton to build Meadow Lakes. The concept of using glass to unite the inside of the buildings with the out-of-doors and of providing mostly first floor living for older adults was an idea without precedent. The plan has proved its value over the years, winning an AIA architectural award in 2007.
Today, Tony is an active resident at Meadow Lakes, a place that, he has found, fulfills the goals of the early planning and makes living attractive for the elderly.

Guest House
Beth Keeler Wham, currently a Meadow Lakes resident, grew up on this property where her uncle owned the Guest House. Beth reminisces about the days of playing hide-and-seek in the Guest House with her cousins and about swimming in Schanks Pond. She told us that when she rode her bike to her Aunt and Uncle's home her Aunt would give her odd jobs such as weeding around their home.
